The Second Annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic

The Salute Military Golf Association held its second annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic on June 2, 2008, at Army Navy Country Club in Fairfax, VA. For the second year in a row, this tournament sold out and raised tens of thousands of dollars to support combat-wounded American soldiers injured in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. More than 120 players and 19 SMGA veterans heard Lieutenant General David Huntoon, Director, Army Staff deliver the keynote dinner address. The SMGA board thanks all the participants, sponsors, and volunteers for making this year's event so successful. All net proceeds from the event have either gone or will go to the purchase of equipment, lessons, range balls, and golf course access for combat wounded veterans.

Thank You to our Tournament Sponsors:
