Every June, the SMGA holds its Annual Charity Golf Classic. This tournament remains a primary fundraising event for the SMGA. We are very thankful and proud to recognize an amazing group of sponsors who continue to support us year after year. You can find out information about each year's tournament below. The Eighth Annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic

The Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA) hosted its 8th Annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic on Monday, June 9th, 2014, at Manor Country Club in Rockville, MD. Manor has been the site of the SMGA Charity Golf Classic since 2010, and once again provided the perfect platform from which to launch a successful event. For the eighth consecutive year, the tournament was a sellout, and generated more than $100,000 in revenue to support post-9/11 wounded and injured warriors' rehabilitation through the game of golf. For the sixth time in eight years, the SMGA Charity Golf Classic witnessed a hole-in-one; this year's ace was recorded by Frank Westfall. Participants were treated to a special appearance by comedians Joe Kashnow and Steve Rice, from Showtime's documentary special "Comedy Warriors." The SMGA Board and staff thanks all the participants, sponsors, and volunteers for making this year's event so memorable. All net proceeds from the event will go to the purchase of equipment, lessons, and golf course access for post-9/11 wounded and injured warriors in 2014.

The Seventh Annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic

The Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA) hosted its 7th Annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic on Monday, July 1st, 2013, at Manor Country Club in Rockville, MD; this is the same course SMGA co-founders Jim Estes and Jamie Winslow learned to play the game of golf. For the seventh consecutive year, the tournament was a sellout, raising more $75,000 dollars to support post-9/11 wounded warriors. Although rain delayed, this year’s event was unique in that it saw the fifth hole-in-one in the seven years of the SMGA Charity Golf Classic. A full house of players, veterans, and guests also heard SMGA Wounded Warrior Ambassador Dewitt Osborne, U.S. Army (ret.) discuss how the game of golf has been paramount to his recovery. The SMGA Board thanks all the participants, sponsors, and volunteers for making this year's event so successful. All net proceeds from the event will go to the purchase of equipment, lessons, and golf course access for post-9/11 wounded warriors in 2014.

The Northrop Grumman Sixth Annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic

The Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA) held the Northrop Grumman Sixth Annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic on Monday, June 11, 2012, at Manor Country Club in Rockville, MD; this is the same course SMGA co-founders Jim Estes and Jamie Winslow learned to play the game of golf. For the sixth consecutive year, the tournament was a sell out and reached an all-time high in terms of revenues raised to support post-9/11 wounded American veterans through the game of golf. A full house of players, veterans, and guests heard Marine Corps Lance Corporal Tim Lang discuss how the game of golf has aided in his recovery. The team of Dennis Bartos, David Bartos, Jake Ruben and Tripp Shreves took home the championship with a score of 57, while former Massachusetts state high school champion Chris Flynn scored two closest to the pin flags. The SMGA board thanks all the participants, sponsors, and volunteers for making this year's event so successful.All net proceeds from the event will go to the purchase of equipment, lessons, and golf course access for post-9/11 wounded veterans.

The Fifth Annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic

The Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA) held its fifth annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic on June 13, 2011, at Manor Country Club in Rockville, MD; this is the same course SMGA co-founders Jim Estes and Jamie Winslow learned to play the game of golf. For the fifth consecutive year, the tournament was a sell out and raised tens of thousands of dollars to support combat-wounded American veterans injured in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. A full house of players, veterans, and guests heard U.S. Army Vice Chief of Staff Peter Chiarelli deliver the evening's keynote address. The highlight of this year's tournament was the two hole-in-one's made on the Par 3 17th by WJFK radio personality Chris Johnson and SMGA supporter Ray Salzberg; each received a vehicle courtesy of Coleman Cadillac. The Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA) held its fourth annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic on June 14, 2010, at Manor Country Club in Rockville, MD; this is the same course SMGA co-founders Jim Estes and Jamie Winslow learned to play the game of golf. For the fourth year in a row, the tournament was a sell out and raised tens of thousands of dollars to support combat-wounded American veterans injured in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. 159 players, including 15 SMGA veterans, heard Assistant Secretary Veteran's Affairs L. Tammy Duckworth deliver the dinner's keynote address, and witnessed the Club Corporation of America present SMGA board members with a check for more than $34,000. The Third Annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic

The Salute Military Golf Association held its third annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic on June 1, 2009, at Army Navy Country Club in Fairfax, VA. For the third year in a row, the tournament was a sell out and raised tens of thousands of dollars to support combat-wounded American veterans injured in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. 128 players, including 16 SMGA veterans, heard Lieutenant General James Thurman deliver the dinner's keynote address, and witnessed Major Ed Pulido, Executive Director, Folds of Honor Foundation, deliver college scholarships to the family of SMGA Participant Ramon Padilla. For the second year in a row, this tournament sold out and raised tens of thousands of dollars to support combat-wounded American veterans injured in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. More than 120 players and 19 SMGA veterans heard Lieutenant General David Huntoon, Director, Army Staff deliver the keynote dinner address. The First Annual SMGA Charity Golf Classic

The SMGA held its first annual Support Military Golf Classic on May 3, 2007, at Fort Belvoir Golf Club. This sold-out event raised thousands of dollars to support combat-wounded American veterans injured in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
